Oil Paintings Of New England

oil paintings of new england
I own a painting of "subsidy" .. Duncan Grant is not .. signatures do not match.?

It's called "Ivy Queen of the Sea" on the side left. On the right side is the signature GRANT (all caps) with 26. It is a ship in a storm 3masted .. although it is very dark .. You can definitely see a light trying to look through .. it makes you look at the sun without seeing the sun .. also seems to 'look out' at you .. It is an oil painting ... 26 years should be 1926, but already gave my grandmother a long time .. when I was young .. the year should be near the end of his paintings. It's probably a grant of England or the U.S. .. Thanks for the help .. I appreciate .. soooooo much .. I need new wheels .. nope, not a car but the wheels for my wheelchair .. (I bet you have) lol.

Ok ... there are lots of "Grant-s' .. and most likely is not a woman (forgive me ... I am a woman and I would not paint boats:) .... I know it's not Duncan, So what do we have that is appropriate in the given time frame? Charles Henry Grant: 1866-1939 seascapes http://www.askart.com/AskART/artists/search/ArtistKeywords.aspx?artist=1116 J. Grant Jeffrey (1883 - 1960) Puerto http://www.askart.com/askart/g/j_jeffrey_grant/j_jeffrey_grant.aspx scenes I hope this helps. Good luck to you!

Realistically, sated color oil paintings by Russian artist life

I am a native Russian born in Latvia, a beautiful resort city on the Baltic Sea, I currently residing in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. Art is my passion. I took art lessons from various artists in Latvia, Russia and Eastern Europe. I have five years degree in History. I have taught basic art classes to children in primary school. I have also worked with various artists to organize and teach based on advanced art classes for adults. I feel art should show emotion, feeling, expression and technique. My paintings come from my soul. I feel my art reflects a mood of the moment captured in time, something that will never be back. All my paintings are created on canvas panels. I work mostly with oils, and sometimes acrylics. I work every day to improve my skills and create new paintings.
I sold many of my paintings in person and online at various online galleries. I received very good comments about the pictures that I have sold and continually receive wonderful comments and opinions about the pictures I have listed. I am always willing to listen what you like or not I like about my art.

Here are some comments from visitors:

Dear Belka
I just passed through his work while browsing the Internet. I love his style and subject matter, its vibrant colors are amazing and I love the mix between realism and impressionism. My question is, Why not paint the same things in great, great, great!
A fan,
Paula

Learn to draw and paint - How and where to study to become an artist

If you go to the web and Google (search) "learn to draw" can 4,880,000 websites to choose from (at least that's what I found when writing this article.) By the time you try it, there is probably more.

If you do a Web search with Google for the term "Learning to paint" Google showed 854 000 websites in the blue bar at the top of the page under the logo "Google."

There are degrees granted and grant untitled art schools, art schools with classroom and online courses in art. Some can not art courses to be "certificates of completion."

Find a course in art school to learn to draw and paint to suit your needs personnel, budget and time available is a challenge.

Here is a list of some of the options:

Option 1: One way to learn drawing and painting is to go to art school, college or university, as the Pratt Institute (Brooklyn campus and Manhattan in New York, USA, where I graduated and taught more later). Two questions for many people time and money needed. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Pratt Tome now costs over $ 100,000.00 for the four-year degree. Of course, this article considers web for a worldwide audience. To see the great art schools worldwide, there is an extensive list good for them at the Saatchi Gallery page web site entitled "The art universities around the world: Universities, Visual Arts, Fashion Design and institutions. "The Saatchi Gallery Art Colleges page of the Web site address appears on the page links in the resource box at the bottom of this article.

The Saatchi Gallery list includes the college I graduated from (Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York, USA) and art schools in many countries around the world. The Saatchi School of Art Gallery listings was 57 pages with thousands of art schools appear when you wrote this article.

Option 2: Take a local art, either in a private art school, a local high school, high school or college. Of course, some places do not offer this option and skills teachers are important, so you need to get recommendations and check these professors before you register. You can Google these options, ask your neighbors friends and teachers at schools near you. You can also get recommendations from art clubs, if available in your area. Some artists give private art lessons to individuals or groups. I used to tutor group in the basement of my house.

Option 3: Choose a pencil or oil paint and start drawing and painting. This works for some people, like Grandma Moses (Anna Mary Robertson), who learned to paint from the 81. See the article about her on Wikipedia (The direction of Grandma Moses in the Wikipedia article on page links in the box at the bottom of this article.) Grandma Moses had no training art and paintings, originally priced at $ 5.00 to $ 10.00, now sells in the range of $ 10,000.00 to $ 60,000.00 and annual income was said to be USD $ 500,000.00 at the end of 1950. Grandma Moses died in 1961 at the age of 101.

Option 4: Buy some art books and / or video tapes on how to draw and paint online Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble or your local library and learn to be an artist. I once had a professor who said take a few weeks in art school learn the basics (which of the brush to use, etc) and paint 200 pictures and you be an artist. This works for some people.

Option 5: Online distance learning art courses are for students who can not attend classes on campus. The art online courses offer flexibility for students when the study and practice as they complete lessons. Some offer degree courses and some fans to issue certificates of completion. Some are completely step line-by-step how-to classes that the student continues to learn by themselves. Others send students to art books, art supplies and plans lesson. The student reads art books and follows the recommended practice drawing and painting sessions. Then the student to complete and e-mail away your drawing or painting assigned to your school. An instructor at the school draws or paints a review with comments from each student's assigned picture and post student work and criticism for the student.

Option 6: A new kind of school of art using the web to teach in an interactive drawing and painting.

A digital camera is included in each student's registration kit along with art books and art supplies. Students who have their own digital camera deduct the cost of digital camera usually comes with the course, from the cost of tuition. The kit is mailed to the student who enrolls. The student works home, reading art books, practice, and then doing the work of art lesson the allocations assigned to enter your personal web folder on the website school.

The student takes digital photos of their artwork complete lesson for each lesson and then send the photos as email attachments to the school.

The art teacher in the online art school draws or paints a critique of the work of art lesson to the student by e-mail with comments on how the student might have understood better the lessons learned in art textbooks and supplementary on-line mini-lessons. Painted criticism or drawn works of art submitted by each student is sent to the school website, a custom-to-critical-it-better for the student to view 24/7/365. The student submitted drawings or paintings and criticism of the teacher are displayed in the student's personal web folder on the school website.

Topics covered are drawing, form, composition, color theory, perspective, still life, landscape drawing and painting and drawing and painting the figure.

This school offers a "Certificate of Completion" and a CD with all the works of students, all criticism by the teacher and suggestions for continued growth as an artist to complete the full art course.

The author has painted and taught for 50 years and has had more than 30 art exhibitions of his paintings. My U.S. based online art school has students in 19 countries. He taught art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and Manhattan, USA, Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, Schools of famous artists in Westport, Connecticut, USA. I have also lectured on various subjects of art throughout the U.S. and the Netherlands, Belgium, France, South Africa and Australia.
